Live blues music comes to downtown Windsor during the four day Blues Fest International. Local, regional and international performers showcase their talents not far from the Radisson Windsor at the Riverfront Plaza. During the festival, American and Canadian teams also face off for a big barbecue competition.

The Olde Sandwich Towne festival honors Windsor’s heritage; the three day event celebrates Olde Sandwich town’s status as the longest continuous European settlement in Ontario. The festival brings together the entire community with historic tours, sidewalk and yard sales, children’s activities, parades, and fireworks.

Windsor’s biggest celebration, and perhaps one of Canada’s biggest festivals, is the Windsor-Detroit International Freedom Festival. This joint festival celebrates the national holidays of both Canada and the U.S, with activities on either side of the border. Over a million visitors come each year for what is historically the world’s largest fireworks display. During the five day run, the Windsor side of the festival offers boating races, midway activities, and more.
