The permanent collection is made up of over 3000 works of art, including paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, sculptures, illustrations, and videos. The gallery is particularly strong in late 19th century and early 20th century paintings. The Art Gallery is an excellent place to see significant works by local, regional, and national Canadian artists, and offers many visiting exhibits during the year as well.
